- American Women in Radio and Television (AWRT) AWRT Chapters establish local scholarship programs and intern programs and send their members to educational seminars. http://www.awrt.org
- Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) - Scholarship program began in 1981 and has awarded more than $420,000 to more than 300 students. Annual application deadline is April 15. Student members receive advance notice of scholarship program and convention-related student projects, which provide free travel, room, board and a convention fee waiver. Sponsors include the S.I. - Broadcast Education Association (BEA) - the professional development association for professors, industry professionals and students involved in teaching and research related to radio, television, and electronic media. BEA administers fifteen scholarships annually, to honor broadcasters and the broadcast industry. - California Chicano News Media Association - Lists numerous internships throughout the nation in both broadcasting and print. http://www.ccnma.org/
- Chips Quinn Scholars - A year-round program of The Freedom Forum that provides training, internships, and $1,000 scholarships to college students of color who are pursuing careers in journalism. http://www.chipsquinn.org/
- International Radio and Television Society - Opportunities to learn and develop marketable skills for your career in communications or other related fields at this major trade association. http://www.irts.org/
- The John Bayliss Broadcast Foundation offers up to 20 $5,000 scholarships to outstanding college students preparing for a career in the radio industry. Juniors, seniors and graduate level students majoring in Broadcast Communications who have maintained a 3.0 GPA or better are encouraged to apply. Although financial need is a consideration, students of merit with an extensive history of radio-related activities are given preference. Applicants provide transcripts, three letters of recommendation evaluating their scholastic and personal strengths and a descriptive essay outlining his or her future broadcasting goals. - National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) - Offers a variety of scholarships. http://www.nahj.org
- National Gay and Lesbian Task Force - Messenger-Anderson Scholarship and Internship program for high school seniors and undergraduate college students who plan to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. http://www.ngltf.org
- National Public Radio (Washington, DC) - National Public Radio's unique Internship Program allows students to learn about the world of public radio through hands-on work experience. The program's most unique feature is "Intern Edition", an original radio show produced entirely by the intern staff. http://npr.org/

- Oregon Public Broadcasting - college internship program provides students with the opportunity to observe and participate in the daily activities of a broadcast center, as well as develop strong organizational and management skills. Also offers the JON R. TUTTLE MINORITY INTERNSHIP - a paid summer internship in telecommunications and broadcast journalism. http://www.opb.org
